What to Expect at Your First Visit
A personalized first visit focused on understanding your health concerns, goals, and individual needs.
Your first visit at PureMe Acupuncture Wellness Center begins with a detailed consultation. Dr. Byung-Moon Lee takes time to understand your health concerns, medical history, lifestyle, stress levels, sleep habits, and wellness goals.
Based on your individual needs, your care plan may include acupuncture, herbal medicine, and other appropriate wellness-focused approaches.
Many patients find acupuncture gentle and relaxing, and treatment is provided in a calm, comfortable environment.
Our goal is to provide individualized care that may support comfort, mobility, sleep, stress management, and healthy aging.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What are your prices for your services?
Our initial consultation and treatment session is $150 and typically lasts 60–75 minutes. Follow-up sessions are $120 and typically last 40–60 minutes. If additional services such as cupping, herbal consultations, or Tui Na are recommended, we will discuss any additional costs with you beforehand.
Q .Do you accept insurance?
Insurance coverage for acupuncture varies by plan. PureMe is currently in-network with Aetna and BCBS New Jersey for eligible plans. Please verify your individual acupuncture benefits with your insurance carrier before your visit. [Learn About Insurance]
For plans we do not bill directly, we can provide an itemized superbill that you may submit to your insurer for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
HSA and FSA cards may be accepted for eligible healthcare expenses.
Q. How many acupuncture visits will I need?
Treatment frequency varies depending on your symptoms, health history, goals, and response to care. During your first visit, we will discuss a treatment approach that is appropriate for your individual needs and can be adjusted over time.
Q. How should I prepare for my first appointment?
Wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows access to the areas being treated. It is also generally helpful to have eaten a light meal or snack before your appointment rather than arriving on an empty stomach. If applicable, please bring a current list of medications and supplements.
Q. What safety measures are used during treatment?
We use sterile, single-use acupuncture needles and follow appropriate infection-control and cleaning procedures. Treatment areas and reusable equipment are cleaned according to clinic safety protocols between patients.
Q. How do I cancel or reschedule my appointment?
We know life gets busy! If you need to shift your appointment around, you can easily do so through our online booking portal, or by sending us by email. We maintain a strict 24hour cancellation policy.
If you need to cancel or change your time, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a $40 late cancellation charge.
